The formal stuff: Daniel Williams is a Co-Founder of LEAP and President of BlueVenn, North America. Daniel began his career with Gannett and has held management positions at McClatchy, the New York Times Regional Media Group and The Day Publishing Company. Over his twenty-year career in newsmedia, he has specialized in leveraging marketing automation technology to develop and execute data-driven strategies for newsmedia companies that support audience and revenue growth.
Daniel's work in developing LEAP's proprietary Targeted Growth Model, as well as implementing The Day’s (New London, CT) paid content membership model, has earned international acclaim and has been emulated by other publishers as a best practice approach. He is an active speaker and writer, having presented and published on a variety of topics with INMA, the Newspaper Association of America, the Local Media Association, Inland Press, The ROUNDTABLE and numerous trade publications. Daniel has served on the North American Board of the International Newsmedia Marketing Association, and is a member of the Local Media Association Chief Digital Club.
Daniel graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Political Science, and resides in Cary, NC with his wife Tammy and three children. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys volunteer coaching, and is an active albeit mediocre runner who logs 25-30 miles per week.
